I’m excited to share that the School of Breath Science YouTube videos are coming back.
I’ve been a little quieter on YouTube recently because a lot of my energy has been going into developing and delivering the Breath Resilience Instructor Training, along with building out the next layers of the School of Breath Science education pathway.
But I’m looking forward to bringing more regular educational videos back to the channel.
The latest video is now live, and it’s on a topic I think is really important:
Can your HRV be improving while your nervous system is not actually becoming more regulated?
In this video, I explore why HRV can be useful, but also why it can become misleading when it’s interpreted without context.
This is especially relevant for coaches, breathwork facilitators, wellness practitioners, and anyone using wearable data to understand stress, recovery, regulation, and nervous system health.
We look at why higher HRV does not always mean better recovery, why instability matters, and why we need to interpret physiology alongside sleep, behaviour, emotional stability, energy, and real-life function.
You can watch the video here:
As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts once you’ve watched it.
