A mum of four, Lara found herself adjusting to motherhood and navigating her own needs in 2024, with twin two-year-old babies, a five-year-old, and a full-time corporate role. Her “there must be more” attitude led her into a world of holistic change, initially through a need to support her eldest son and eventually her own mental health.
An osteopath can be attributed to Lara’s passion for change. After one session gave her son back the sleep he so needed, which had been lacking for his first five years, Lara started a road of discovery, training as an Energy Medicine Practitioner and advancing from there through many modalities and ancient wisdom.
When Lara began to experience digestive upset and migraines, she discovered yoga and how movement can influence change, and began her studies there. Combining the wisdom of movement and later falling in love with how the breath can influence change, Lara became fascinated by the concept of the body supporting itself. She has now combined over 600 hours of breath studies with the equivalent in movement therapy, and even more in ancient wisdom, to support all ages in her clinics.
In 2019, after a fire at her office in her home, Lara opened Sukha Community Cahir, a centre that provides community and a wealth of knowledge through visiting doctors, practitioners, and advisers. What started out as a “there must be more” question sparked the inspiration to give back to families what she felt was lacking in the Western medicine world.
Lara now works with corporations, doctors, and therapists to create programs that complement each other and meet people exactly where they are. Lara’s attitude is: “let’s keep it real, but let’s also make change and give people their power back.”
