BRIT CURRICULUM
Why BRIT is structured differently

Assess before you intervene
Start with the person, not the technique. Consider context, breathing behaviour, readiness, current capacity and goals before deciding what to use.
Build foundations before adding challenge
Restoration and regulation come before progression. Learn to recognise when a client needs support, when they are ready for more and when to hold back.
Progress beyond short-term state change
The goal is not simply to make someone feel calm in a session. BRIT develops a pathway from restoration to regulation to greater adaptability and resilience over time.
Develop professional judgement
Learn to select, dose, adapt, progress and regress interventions with greater structure, while remaining aware of safety, scope and individual response.
