Adam Burgess etched his name into British sporting history at the Paris 2024 Olympics, claiming a spectacular silver medal in the men’s C1 canoe slalom.
Three years earlier at Tokyo 2020, Burgess had experienced the finest of margins in elite sport – his brilliant run missing a medal by just 0.16 seconds, finishing fourth in an agonisingly close Olympic debut.
But before all of this, a shoulder injury threatening to derail his career back in 2017 initiated a deep dive into breath. After overcoming the injury, Adam recognised that this new focus on breath led to many other benefits too and has since become a fascination and something he is passionate to share.
Complementing a degree in sports science, Adam studied with a couple of other breath schools prior to mentorship with Martin to become a breath science practitioner. He now runs a small breath coaching business alongside his sporting career offering 1:1, workshop, and team sessions.
